Diesel Spawns a Two-Faced Freak of Nature Watch

Apparently, half a watch plus half a watch equals one ugly watch.

The Diesel DZ4160 "Freak of Nature" watch combines a steel-strapped, oval case watch with a leather-strapped, square case watch. The result is a metal/animal skin hybrid that's not quite as stylish as either elite substance is on its own. Then again, Frankenstein's monster was no looker, except maybe when he starred in Raging Bull. [Watchismo via boingboing]

What's this, another unreadable TokyoFlash watch? No, this Diesel DZ9044 appears faceless to innocent bystanders, but for the initiated, a furtive peek at the side reveals dual faces for multiple time zones. A look at the opposite edge reveals two more clock faces, for a total of four.

Besides its unusual quartet of clocks letting you keep track of four places at once, this timepiece might be especially handy when you want to secretly glance at the time without anyone detecting your impatience. NISSAN AND INFINITI WITH DIESEL ENGINE!

The 3.0L V6 dCi diesel engine, debuted in Renault Laguna Coupe, will
find way into Nissan and Infiniti cars. Nissan will bring the Maxima
and maybe some SUV in U.S. In Europe SUVs Pathfinder and Navara
could have this diesel engine. Also Infinitis like EX, FX and the M will
have Diesel.
This engine has - in Laguna Coupe - 235Hp, but they say others will
have more, since the engine came up to 265Hp.

MAZDA WITH THREE NEW DIESELS

Okay, there is only one diesel engine, the new 2.2L, but in three variants.
They are:
- 125 KM with 310 Nm
- 163 KM with 360 Nm
- 185 KM with 400 Nm

HYUNDAI WITH NEW R DIESELS

Hyundai will launch next Year two new engines - R diesels.
R-Diesels are 2,0 and 2,2-L, one has 184 Hp and 392 Nm ,the other
has 200 Hp and 436 Nm. The first cars will be the Tuscon and Sonata
in fall 2009.

AUDI A4 TDI that needs only 3.99 l/100km

Audi showed a concept A4 TDI with a 2.0L diesel, that needs only 3.99 l of
fuel on 100km. The car has a specialy tuned engine foe savings, start/stop
system and more. The car could be in stores next Year.

OPEL INSIGNIA ecoFLEX - SAVING WITH 160Hp

Opel will sell the Insignia in a fuel saving form as ecoFLEX.
The surprise here is it has 160Hp a 2.0L diesel and some
cosmetics.

MAZDA WITH NEW DIESEL AND START/STOP SYSTEM

Mazda has released info of the new 2.2L diesel engine, that will come next Year.
It is a 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel with 185Hp and 400Nm. It needs only 5.6 l
for 100 km.

The other news is the start/stop system, for the petrol cars - at first.
But the news is the system, that has no electric motor, to stop and then run the engine.
It is called the Smart Idle Stop System (SISS).

SUBARU FORESTER AND IMPREZA WITH BOXER DIESEL

In Paris Subaru will Premiere the Impreza and ForesterBoxer Diesel.
Both will have 150Hp - Forester will go on sale late this Year and the
Impreza will start next Year.

DIESEL POWERED CARS REACHED MAXIMUM

Some institut in Germany said that the maximum of sold cars is reached
in 2007 and will in next years fall.
some numbers (for Germany)
-1995 - 14,6% sold cars are diesels
-2007 - 47,7% sold cars are diesels
they think of a scenario:
-2020 - 30% sold cars are diesels

Now the diesel price reached or even overtook the petrol.
And the new petrol engines are very good and then there
is hybrid.

VW TO DOUBLE DIESEL SALES

VW is bringing diesels back to US. They want to sell up to 30%
diesel in US by 2018. Till now 15% US sales were diesels.

MERCEDES SUPER-DIESEL

Mercedes is showing a new diesel on 150 Birthday of Rudolf Diesel.
It will be first availablle in C-class.
The 2.2L will be Euro5 clean.
-C250 CDI with 204 HP and 500Nm at 1600/min, it will need 5,4L for 100km
-C220 CDI with 170 HP and 400Nm and 5,1L/100km
-C200 CDI with 136HP and 330Nm
The engine will come in most other models.

MERCEDES GLK BLUETEC DIESEL HYBRID

Mercedes is presenting another concept of the Suv GLK in Geneva.
The concept has and diesel 2.2L with 224HP and a mild hybrid.
It can make 0-62 in 7.3 seconds and get 40 mpg.
