In the model of 2009, an LSD is available as an option if installed PDK. The base Cayman has received an updated 2.9 liter engine (265 hp (198 kW, 269 PS)) and the Cayman S with a 3.4L (320 hp (239 kW, 324 PS)). This is considerably greater than the supply of older models, like the factory tuned to the 2008 Cayman S Sport, with its special exhaust system only produces 303 hp (226 kW, 307 PS) from its 3.4L engine.
