Our sister magazine, BimmerToday, attended earlier today the press launch of the new BMW 6 Series Coupe. A report and full photo gallery will follow, but in the mean time, we have exclusive live photos of the BMW 6 Series Coupe with M Sport package.
Available starting in August, the M Sport package brings visual refinements to the 6 Series Coupe in order to ensure an even sportier and more masculine appearance. There are no changes to the suspension or the engine power.
The front air dam, side skirts and rear apron include M specific design cues increasing the dynamics and looks of the 6er Coupe. The M package also includes chrome tailpipes along with exclusive light allow wheels in 19 and 20 inches.
Exclusive for the cars equipped with the M Sport package are the Carbon Black and Imola Red colors. The top two models, 650i and 650i xDrive also get a sport exhaust system and therefore a more powerful engine sound.
The car displayed earlier today in Garching is the new 640d model powered by a twin-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine producing 313 horsepower with a fuel consumption of 5.4 liter per 100 kilometers. At this moment, there is no indication on whether the 640d will become available in the United States.
