What do Mercedes-Benz designers do when they're fed up with drawing cars? Why, create insane cockeyed plumbing fixtures, that's what. Former head of Mercedes design Bruno Sacco makes a big splash with Hansa Latrava, a water faucet that you may not recognize as such — until you press its on-off switch.
Notice how its sheet of water flows in a shape that mocks its edgy origination, streaming in a sideways flume and ending up in just the right place. For us blinkinlightaficionados, there are color-coded water-temp LED indicators, alongside a rocker switch that looks like a volume control. It's art in motion.
